How to Protect Your Hair and Skin from the Sun

A little sunshine is a good thing. It gives you Vitamin D, a little glow, and generally relaxes you too. Too much, however, can be detrimental. One sunburn can leave you with a peeling flaky scalp that makes it look like you have dandruff.
It can also leave your skin red, raw, and even after the sunburn heals, you skin may break out or remain discolored for a couple weeks.
  • Use a Little SPF: Unless you have alabaster porcelain skin, you probably don't need SPF 50. Try SPF 15 on days when you'll be getting more sun exposure than usual. But frankly, you probably don't need to wear sunscreen every day unless your skin is already sun damaged. We'd rather see you wear a hat or scarf than slather on sunscreen daily.

Remember to protect your scalp--it's so easy to forget and get it burned.

  • Moisturize: The main problem with the sun is it tends to zap moisture from your skin and hair. When you plan to be in the sun for a while, bring along some Coconut oil. It smells great, is incredibly moisturizing to hair, skin, and lips, and best of all, it is a natural sunscreen. That's right, coconut oil has a completely natural SPF of about 4-6 hour
.

  • Deep Condition: Before you go out , plan to do a deep conditioning treatment to help protect your hair from the drying effects of the heat.add Aloe Veera to your conditioner leave it for 10 mint then take hot Towel/Steamer The heat will actually help the conditioner penetrate more deeply. You'll want to find an outdoor beach shower to wash it out though, as salt water will defeat the point.
